Avania Inn of Santa Barbara

Loved this charming hotel - it was in the perfect location! Avania Hotel in Santa Barbara was such a great stay...clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a relaxing coastal vibe. The location couldn’t be bette. It's just a short, easy walk to Stearns Wharf, the beach, and plenty of great restaurants and shops. Parking was convenient, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch before heading out to explore. Everything felt well-kept and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful stay within walking distance of the waterfront and downtown.

Located a few blocks from the beach, ab out 15 minutes walk to State Street and Stearns Pier, the location was a pleasant suprise. This is an older motel type building which has been completely updated. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was really nice. I'll admit I stayed because of the price, and the ratings, but I would recommend to anyone traveling to Santa Barbara for an escape.

Excellent accommodation. Room was nice and modern, clean and very comfortable beds. Mini fridge, no microwave (but there is one in the lobby). Free parking right outside your room. Unfortunately the pool and spa were out of service for the night we stayed. Breakfast was really really good. Just the right amount of variety, considering they only cater to a smaller number of guests. Faustina was a very accommodating host, thank you !

This hotel was such a great value find! The rooms are very fresh and clean; they look modern and renovated. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a complimentary breakfast that was perfect for what we needed (waffles and yogurt). This hotel is in a great location where you can walk to both the oceanfront or downtown in just 15 min. We would stay here again!

Fairly basic but good hotel in a great location near to Santa Barbara sea front & centre. Breakfast was provided, which was limited but adequate to start the day. Room was good although lacking storage space but ok for a couple of days stay. Hotel was kept clean & tidy. There was free parking at the hotel if you have a car. All round, pretty good for a small hotel.

Located near to the beach/coastal area and close enough to explore downtown Santa Barbara. This is a good basic hotel that includes breakfast. Coffee is freely available in reception. Check-in/out was efficient. Rooms are adequate for short stays as storage is a little limited. Breakfast is basic but sufficient to start the day on. My only issue is the use of plastic and paper utensils in the dining area as this cannot be an environmentally sound choice and the overly sweet cereal on offer. I suspect this is USA specific. Would I choose this hotel agai n - yes .

Came into SB for a wedding and had multiple relatives at multiple hotels within the same area - mine, Ava is - was the best! Ava is was the only one to serve a hot continental breakfast, including scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns,and freshly made waffles, as well as yogurts, cereals, pastries, fruit, juice, and a full service cappuccino machine. My room had all the amenities, including an ironing board, hair dryer and toiletries. The bed, pillows and duvet were top of the line comfy. Everything was clean and contemporary. The staff was so attentive and kind. When I needed packages delivered to this hotel, they made note and delivered to me prompt and safely. I could not ask for a better 4-day stay! Excellent! I will be back!

Great place but minus 1 star because they charge $25 even if your room is ready just 30 mins before 3pm. The email they send you says that the $25 fee is for check in before 2pm… Weird policy and not even consistent. Otherwise the location is fantastic and room is spacious
